1 октября, в среду, в 19:00, зрители смогли насладиться уникальным концертом «Джаз при свечах», который стал настоящим праздником для любителей музыкального искусства. Самый «долгоиграющий» биг-бэнд в мире — Государственный камерный оркестр джазовой музыки имени Олега Лундстрема — подарил всем присутствующим незабываемый «букет вечнозелёных мелодий».
В программе концерта прозвучали произведения ярких представителей американской и советской музыкальной культуры. Гостям подарили особую атмосферу джаза, представляя:
— Джорджа Гершвина — американского классика, чьи мелодии стали известны во всем мире.
— Ричарда Роджерса, Фредерика Лоу и Джерома Керна с их всемирно известными мюзиклами.
— Исаака Дунаевского и Матвея Блантера, которые стали символами советской эпохи.
Гершвин и Дунаевский — центральные фигуры программы, олицетворяющие два полюса музыкальной культуры. Творчество Гершвина радует как любителей джаза, так и поклонников классической музыки, а Исаак Дунаевский, создатель «советского Бродвея», обновил язык массовой песни.
