Metalliada — симфоническое шоу, посвящённое шедеврам heavy metal музыке. Оркестр из 40 музыкантов исполняет произведения самостоятельно, не используя фонограмм, подкладов или синхронов. В репертуаре: композиции именитых групп “Metallica”, “Iron Maiden”, “Ghost” и “Nightwish”.
Интересен жанр исполнения композиций — сюиты. Сюита объединяет в себе несколько мелодий, создавая новое произведение и придавая выбранным для сюиты мелодиям новый смысл. Переработка известных композиций и воспроизведение их в симфоническом оркестре освежило привычное “тяжёлое” звучание.
По мнению продюсера Metalliada Стаса Зализняка, решение исполнить heavy metal хиты на симфонических инструментах — это возможность вернуться к истокам качественной heavy metal музыки. Многие музыканты-металлисты при написании альбомов вдохновлялись именно классикой.
Концерты Metalliada всегда собирают полные залы — всего оркестр выступил перед 20 тысячами зрителей из разных регионов. Накануне Дня Защитника Отечества, 22 февраля концерт Metalliada прошёл в Москве в зале “Моспродюсер”. В тот день оркестр выступил дважды: в 16:00 и в 19:00. Первое шоу сокращённое — длилось 70 минут без антракта и вобрало в себя лучшие композиции из репертуара оркестра. Второе шоу длилось 2 часа с антрактом — на нём музыканты представили полную программу. Во время антракта можно было приобрести сувениры, связанные с известными группами и metal тематикой — футболки, шевроны, украшения.
Metalliada — стильное шоу. Фон сцены украшали скелеты, играющие на инструментах. Музыканты и дирижёр нанесли себе corpsepaint — чёрно-белый грим исполнителей heavy metal. Свет софитов плавно менялся от красного и зелёного до синего и фиолетового.
В программе нашлось место как динамичным, легко узнаваемым мотивам, так и более плавным и мягким по звучанию мелодиям. Шоу Metalliada хорошо подходит для тех, кто только начинает интересоваться жанром heavy metal. Выступление сопровождал “Мистический голос”, рассказывающий про особенности звучания каждой из групп. Так, даже не разбирающийся в heavy metal зритель мог легко ориентироваться в программе.
Концерт Metalliada — тот случай, когда кавер полон уважения к творчеству оригинала, не паразитирует на известности первоисточника и придаёт ему новое звучание.
