По мнению Саркиса, в России давно не было хорошего детского кино, как было в советское время и на котором бы росла и воспитывалась подрастающая молодежь. Поэтому было решено снять фильм на собственные деньги, не привлекая ни партнеров, ни рекламодателей и ни от кого не завися, чтобы задать тренд на детское творчество и детское кино.
В картине рассказывается о 16-летнем подростке Диме Бобрикове, который мечтает шикарно провести лето и съездить на отдых в Полинезию. У его родителей, однако, планы иные - отправить сына в деревню, чтобы тот помог своей бабушке по хозяйству. Димка такой перспективе не сильно рад, но в итоге соглашается из-за пари - если подросток проведёт месяц вне города без гаджетов, родители исполнят любое его желание. В деревне Дима заводит новых друзей и поначалу пытается показаться им крутым парнем, звездой клубных тусовок и экспертом по отношениям с девушками. Но спустя время начинает понимать - истинные ценности совсем в другом.
С задачей снять доброе детское кино создатели справились на отлично. Пусть без спонсоров и партнёров, но фильм снят с душой и наполнен смыслом, а это главное, и именно этого зачастую не хватает российскому кино. После завершения показа авторы фильма и актёры с удовольствием пообщались со зрителями, ответили на все их вопросы и поделились секретами процесса съемок. Писатель Сергей Чуев, к примеру, рассказал собравшимся, что в его повести действие происходит в 1991 году, но режиссёр решила перенести действие на 30 лет вперёд и осовременить историю, добавив в неё гаджеты и соцсети. А исполнитель главной роли Александр Бородулин признался, что с особым трудом ему дались съемки сцены, когда его герой спасает тонущего в реке друга: режиссёру хотелось, чтобы всё выглядело максимально реалистичным, а добиться от актёров нужных эмоций было непросто.
