5 апреля в Малом театре состоялась премьера спектакля «Проект инженера Гарина». В основу лег знаменитый визионерский роман одного из крупнейших советских фантастов — Алексея Толстого.
Видный ученый Манцев совместно со своими учениками создает революционный для науки прибор — гиперболоид, аналог современного лазера. Манцев не желает, чтобы советская разработка попала за границу, но после ряда коллизий прибором завладевает его ученик Петр Гарин и увозит его в Париж. Там инженер ищет спонсоров, чтобы на основе гиперболоида начать добычу золота. Но истинная цель Гарина — единолично господствовать над миром. Когда в руках человека настолько мощная разработка, крайне сложно отличить союзников от врагов. А между тем Гарин увлекается таинственной авантюристкой Зоей Монроз, любовницей миллиардера Роллинга.
На сцене разворачивается настоящий криминальный триллер в декорациях парижа 20-х годов. Художник Мария Шуплецова придумала яркое пространство, трансформирующееся на глазах из минималистичного кабинета Манцева сначала в шумный парижский вокзал, а затем в мерцающий ресторан, где собираются русские эмигранты.
Сценическую версию текста Толстого создала драматург Елена Исаева, сместив акцент с научной фантастики на чувства героев. Ведь только любви по силам остановить зарождающееся сумасшествие Гарина. Инженера, который от благих намерений уходит все дальше к разрушению мира, сыграл Андрей Чернышов. Его Гарин получился сдержанно-холодным антигероем, для которого любовь — тоже трофей. Полина Лоран в роли Зои Монроз предстает не просто неприступной и оттого желанной женщиной, но сильной героиней со своими скрытыми мотивами.
Михаил Фоменко, сыгравший Роллинга, рассказал о ключевых смыслах постановки: «Это история о том, как влияет на человека абсолютная власть. О том, что, слава Богу, есть разум у людей, которые могут остановить это. И о любви, конечно. В моем случае точно о любви».
Заслуженный артист РФ, режиссер Владимир Драгунов говорит, что его спектакль о людях из правящих элит, которые возомнили себя богами, и этим он, конечно, очень современен. «“Проект” в названии — это его проект по переустройству мира, это не аппарат. Аппарат — это средство, это гениальное изобретение, гениальная авантюра. Смысл в том, что он собирается таким образом спасти мир. То есть вычистить его от всего ненужного», — поделился он с журналистами.
Спектакль будет идти на Сцене на Большой Ордынке. Ближайший показ пройдет 24 апреля.
